The Board of Directors has decided to propose an amendment to the existing restrictions to remove the provision prohibiting water wells. In the meantime, the Association will not proceed with action against owners who have installed water wells. However, because the restrictions presently prohibit water wells, owners are directed not to install water wells on a lot until restrictions are properly amended.
Garden Club meeting will be at the Community Center April 8th. Louise Johnson from Kingwood Garden Center will give a talk on Perennials and Annuals. The time and place for the Installation Luncheon will be announced. Luncheon cost and dues will also be collected. The April activity is a trip to The Museum of Fine Arts for "Florescense''-The Arts in Bloom.

According to our sign-in book, 102 residents attended the March meeting. Mr. George Bravenec, COH sidewalk engineer, discussed placement of sidewalks and the resident's responsibility once installed.
We had a very lengthy discussion with property owners who either have or want to have a water well installed. See the Water Wells announcement for further details. We all want to do what's best for the Community, but it is real hard when someone knowingly breaks our Deed Restrictions when we have been working hard to enforce them. We have another Deed Restriction problem involving the Forest Cove Baptist Church and the Northeast Christian School.
We will keep the community informed on this issue, as soon as we have more information,

Problem areas continue to be burglary, theft, and criminal mischief in the Kingwood Area, according to the above data; Forest Cove has escaped this trend. There has been in overall decrease in activity in the Kingwood area, and Forest Cove has low crime reports to the HPD for February. All residents are urged to REPORT all incidents, it's the only way the HPD can address a problem. Residents are urged not to leave valuables in full view in cars even though locked, a number of cars have been broken into and items such as wallets and purses stolen.
FOREST COVE RESIDENTS ARE REMINDED THAT A CALL TO 713- 222-3131 WILL DISPATCH AN OFFICER FROM THE KINGWOOD SUBSTATION. When calling this number inform them of your address, nearest intersecting street, and additionally Key Map Location #336 and any other pertinent information. The dispatchers handling these calls are not HPD officers, but are civilians and generally do a good job with some exceptions. Poor performance by dispatchers should be reported!
The Kingwood Substation phone number is 281-359-6761. Calls to this number should be directed to the Shift Sergeant or Lieutenant in charge. These calls should address such on-going problem areas as speeding, reckless driving, loud parties, or any other nuisance or obnoxious activity.
