Equestrian Resources
Keeping horses for use by residents* is permitted by the deed restrictions
of six of the twelve sections of Forest Cove. These include (see deed restrictions page for map of sections):
- Forest Cove Section 3
- Forest Cove Section 4
- Forest Cove Section 5
- Forest Cove Section 6
- Forest Cove Country Club Estates Section Four (lots over 30,000 sq-ft)
- Forest Cove Country Club Estates Section Four-A (lots over 30,000 sq-ft)
There are stables with horses at several residences in Forest Cove.
*note: deed restrictions require that "horses may
be kept for the sole enjoyment and use of the persons residing in the residence
on said lot"
** note: Horses are explicitly prohibitied on Sections
1, 2, CC1, CC2, & CC3. Although horses are not mentioned in the deed
restrictions for Section 7, "The raising or keeping of hogs, poultry,
fowls, or of other livestock on any part of the subdivision is strictly
prohibited."
In addition, there are several Equestrian
centers located close by.
- Kingwood Equestrian Center, near the Kingwood Athletic Club, offers
English riding training.Call Nancy at 281.360.9351.
- Trails End Stables (281.358.7918) are in Deer Ridge Park, just north
of Forest Cove. There is a two year waiting list for stable space, so plan
ahead.
