Kingwood Recycling Drop-off
- When:
- Every 2nd and 4th weekend of the month

- 3210 W. Lake Houston Parkway
- Metro Park and Ride Lot
Every 2nd and 4th weekend of the month,
residents will have the opportunity to recycle:
- newspaper
- telephone books
- tin and aluminum cans
- plastic bottles and jars
- glass bottles and jars
Requirements
PLASTIC BOTTLES ONLY:
- Neck must be smaller than base.
- Crush when possible.
- Remove and discard all plastic lids.
- No motor oil containers
- No wide mouth containers
- No containers larger than 3 gallons.
NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINES, SHOPPING
CATALOGS & COLOR AD INSERTS:
- Must be loose, clean and dry or in paper grocery bags.
- No string, rubber bands, or plastic bags.
CANS: ALUMINUM , TIN, & EMPTY AEROSOL CANS ONLY-
- Place small metal lids inside larger containers.
- Please remove all plastic tops and caps.
- No flammable liquid containers
TELEPHONE BOOKS:
- All telephone books are accepted.
GLASS FOOD & BEVERAGE BOTTLES & JARS:
- Clear, Green, Brown only.
- Remove all lids.
- No broken or treated glass (i.e. mirrors, window panes, ceramics, drinking
glass, etc.)
NO CARDBOARD ITEMS ARE ACCEPTED AT THIS DROP-OFF.
- Please recycle these items at your local school.
Recycling Times:
- Residents are encouraged to use the drop-off from 5:00 p.m. Friday
until 6:00 p.m. Sunday on the 2nd and 4th weekends of the month.
Preparation & Sorting Materials:
- Please place each item in the appropriately marked box.
- Prepare items according to instructions above.
When in Doubt Leave It Out:
- If you do not see a box marked with an item you wish to recycle, then
it is not accepted in the drop-off program.
- Do not place it in the bin(s) or leave it on the premises. When
in doubt about any item, please leave it out and remove it from the premises.
