City of Houston plan for location of streetlights

City of Houston will install 312 lights in the locations shown below. The number and location of lights is at the discretion of the City of Houston (COH), based upon COH ordinance. Forest Cove residents do not have any option concerning the ultimate number or location of lights; but if FCPOA pays the COH $182 per light, FCPOA can designate certain lights to be installed immediately. The FCPOA has voted to pay $32,396 to install 178 lights immediately. The FCPOA has asked that anyone who does not want a light in front of their house should notify them, so that unwanted lights can be removed from the list. This does not guarantee that the light will not be installed, but the FCPOA will not request it from the COH. It appears that the COH has already started installing lights on all of the existing telephone poles on streets in Forest Cove.
